MLA Shaye Anderson was previously employed as a telecommunications technician for over 10 years and was involved with the Telecommunications Workers Union and United Steelworkers local 1944 as a shop steward and vice-president.

He graduated from Malaspina University-College with a diploma in physical education and he also attended the University of Victoria for the Bachelor of Education program. MLA Anderson moved from British Columbia to Edmonton in 2004 and currently resides in Beaumont with his wife, Kelly, and two sons, Declan and Maddoc.

In addition to his work as MLA for Leduc-Beaumont, he currently serves as the deputy chair of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and as a member of the Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future.
